शीतला माता को आरोग्य की देवी माना जाता है, विशेषकर चेचक और संक्रामक रोगों से रक्षा हेतु। वे बुखार को शांत करती हैं और अशुद्धियों को दूर करती हैं, बच्चों और परिवारों को महामारियों से बचाती हैं। उत्तर भारत में वे स्वास्थ्य की रक्षक देवी के रूप में पूजी जाती हैं।
Goddess Shitala Mata is worshipped as the goddess of healing, especially against smallpox and infectious diseases. She is believed to cool fevers and cleanse impurities, protecting children and families from epidemics. Her worship is widespread in North India as a guardian of public health.
