Fifth Sikh Guru, compiler of Adi Granth and builder of the Golden Temple; first Sikh martyrगुरु अर्जन देव जी, सिख धर्म के पांचवें गुरु, आध्यात्मिक ज्ञान, करुणा और बलिदान के प्रतीक थे।
Guru Arjan Dev Ji, the fifth Guru of Sikhism, was a beacon of spiritual wisdom, compassion, and sacrifice. He compiled the Adi Granth—the foundational scripture of Sikhism—bringing together the teachings of the Sikh Gurus and revered saints from different traditions. He envisioned and oversaw the construction of Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple), symbolizing spiritual openness and equality. His reign saw Sikhism flourish both spiritually and socially. In 1606, Guru Arjan Dev Ji became the first Sikh martyr when he was tortured to death under the Mughal rule for refusing to renounce his faith. Even in extreme suffering, he remained calm and recited, 'Tera Kiya Meetha Lage'—'Whatever You do, O Lord, is sweet to me.' His sacrifice became the eternal flame that strengthened Sikh resolve and devotion forever.
